Overview:
Our speaker will discuss using the right tool for the right job including testing techniques that are typically not taught in Biomed schools. He will also cover topics such as determining accuracies needed, weight classifications and how to determine the correct weight classification. He will cover scale testing using the quadrant method, temperature testing using thermocouples, thermistors, and RTD’s. Boyd will also cover how to choose the right device, light meters (Luminance vs Illuminance), calibration standards (traceability, NIST, with data, ISO 17025), and environmental effects on PM’s.
